Terms of service

Quotes and payment

Build projects are quoted in writing before work begins. A deposit of 50% is due to book the project and the balance is due at launch. Quotes are fixed unless the agreed scope changes, in which case a revised quote is provided before additional work starts.

Recurring plans

Hosting and Care Plan fees are billed monthly or annually in advance. Care Plan hours are available in the month they are billed and do not roll over. Either party may cancel a monthly plan with 30 days’ notice. Annual plans are non-refundable after the first 30 days.

Ad hoc work

Work outside a plan is charged at $140 per hour with a 1-hour minimum, billed on completion.

Ownership

On full payment you own the website’s design, content and code. Third-party services, fonts and libraries remain subject to their own licences. Your domain is registered in your name.

Content

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you supply, including having the rights to any images and text.

Availability

I aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee it. Uptime monitoring alerts me to outages and I work to resolve them promptly. Liability is limited to the fees paid in the preceding three months.

Tax

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST, which is added to invoices where applicable.
